Juno Says: iya, Outremer! Interesting character! I'm glad that you have confidence in what you produce, it's always good to have it (it acts like buffer in some cases, if you know what I mean! :D) Let's see... looks like Setsuna touched the biggest topic: neatness. The figure's proportions are well done, but overall, it looks sloppy. For one thing, drawing too many lines can make the picture look overexhausted and confusing. Cut down the number of lines you put in the clothing, particularly the sleeves. The pants, though, are okay. If you want a more professional look, I suggest that you use a sharper, cleaner medium for inking. Looks like you used...color pencil? (Sorry if it isn't ;_;) Most artists go for ink (the dipping kind) but dude, you're the artist, so it's entirely up to you ^_^

Also, make sure to keep light sources in mind. For example, the gray in the pants on the figure's left leg (your left) are on BOTH sides, while the gray on his right leg is dominating on the right part. Try to keep shadows and highlights constant. His hair and face seem to have conflicting shadows and highlights as well. Also, on the face... the white part of his eye looks too big compared to the size of the rest of his facial features. (Where's the eyeball? o_o) GREAT pose, and AWESOME boots. I love 'em. XD Hope this helped! Take care, and good luck.

Setsuna Says: To improve the image, I would suggest that you work to clean it up a bit. I have a little trouble seeing the lines inside the figure and placing certain details (I can't see the laces on both boots, I can't really see the way the character's hair is curving?) I suggest that you try drawing your figures larger, so that the lines aren't so irregular - work on getting a smooth contour line for the figure, so that the features are more defined. Also, you can adjust the contrast higher in any photo-editing program (like Photoshop or Microsoft Photo Editor [which is included free with the Windows installation disk]). Overall, you've done a pretty good job - I like the strong pose of the character, and I think you have a good grasp of the human figure so far. Good luck!
