Artist's Comments: This is done with a regular pencil. I just like to try and draw scenes from different RPGs from a different than standard viewpoint. The games mean a lot more than just pixels and polygons (and the occasional cutscene) and I'd like to at least attempt to show more than that.

Lorelai's Profile Lorelai Says: Nice emotion was put into this picture! Usually I gripe about fanart being too ordinary, like a bust portrait or a simple standing portrait, but yours is chock full of meaning! Now let's get on with correct expression: I know you mean to illustrate a really great, emotional scene, but the layout is too flat. everything is too straight...the two figures are on a level ground, the wall is perpendicular to the ground...it doesn't work for this sort of picture. Also you need to study some figure drawing because there are some body structures that aren't correct...but I must say you are doing a great job on folds and wrinkles/shading in clothing!

Young's Profile Young Wang Says: Hrm.. what game is this from? I can't tell.. then again.. I haven't touched any RPGs, let alone video games period, in a looong time. =} Being seen from perpendicular from the two makes the picture seem very 'flat' There are very few depth and perspective cues so it all lones as if there is no real 'feeling' in the picture. The lack of a background does that too. =} I'm not sure if there's a 'wall' in the middle of the picture.. and if the guy is missing a hand. Not recognizing the pic, I can't associate anything with the images. The drapery of the characters in the image isn't bad. The proportions of the people is not too bad either. However, the characters look very stiff and they need more of a dynamic to their poses. The profiles of their faces also look quite square. =} I think the girl(?) on the right needs bigger feet, they seem small... and her 'chest' in comparison to her 'waist' makes her very flat chested or large bellied.
