Artist's Comments: Eh, I know the outfit for Id's wrong,
but since it's Bart I can get away with it right? ^_^* Erm.. anyway....
I'd just like to know from the artists I so admire what kinda tweaking
could be done (possibly help on CG techniques?)

Min Kwon Says: I'd give ye some tips on CGing ... if this pic were
colored. ^_- You can take a look at my CG tutorial which can be found
at my site's Illust section.
I also highly recommend Khanh's CG tutorial; his site is right
here. Anyways, you did a good job. The figures are mostly very well
drawn, and he *DOES* look like Bart (whom I find a bit hard to draw)!
One thing I want to comment about the body/pose is that I cannot figure
out what he's doing there (tiptoeing at a semi- awk pose is not something
I'd do). His shoulders seem a little uneven (try flipping the pic horizontally
to make errors more visible), but I think it could just be how his neck
is 'leaning' towards one side. I'd make the right (left from the viewer's
view) part of his breast plate a bit bigger, though... Oog, I'd really
like to see this pic CGed. I think this one would look awesome in cel
style!

Sandara-3 Says: hi! ... so that's Bart, wearing Id's outfit?
won't Id get angry about that? and what happened to Bart's ponytail...?o_O;;;
anyway, on to the techniques! ^_^ you've got the inking done very well,
so... where's the color? Photoshop5 is more than adequate for CG coloring,
so i'd recommend that you use that. However from what i've seen, Painter
is another good software to use. Pose-wise... uhm... he's sitting on stairs
right? ok... his pose is a bit off though... looks like he has twisted
his back somehow. the proportioning is fine, but work on the pose a little.
( guys don't normally sit like that ) yup... that and some color will
definitely make this picture look great.

Young Wang Says: Well, if you're curious where to start in CG,
you're on the right track. All your lines seem nice and dark, and most
importantly, closed. =} For those without tablets, this is important.
=} I only have Photoshop so I can only explain how to color using a program
like that. Since all your 'sections' are closed, you can use the fill
tool to make all the flat tones. First, you should make a copy layer of
the image and remove all white so it's nothing but black lines. On the
layer you're going to color, use the fill tool to fill in all the solid
tones. Then use the marquee tool to select the filled color ranges and
use the 'burn/dodge' tool to 'darken/lighten' the selected color ranges
to make shadoes on the picture. =} This is the easiest way I know to color
with photoshop, and it of course requires a bit of tweaking for it to
look the way you want it to. Aside from CG pointers, I think this pic
isn't bad. I think his pose is rather awkward... the human body can pose
like that, but it would take very stong muscles to hold that pose, which
I guess, what a 'hero' has. =} Then again, 'pin-up' art is not always
true to form, just nice looking =}

Glassshard Says: Whee! I love this drawing! It's very well executed
and Bart's face is exquisitely beautiful *sigh* Since you insist on finding
flaws with it though :P I looked and looked and really only one thing
caught my eye. His right shoulder is jutted forward too much, push it
back a bit. I know it's hard to tell with that massive shoulder armor
he's wearing, but his right side's farther away so you need to adjust
the perspective on it. Just shrink it up, lower it, and it should be fine.
Otherwise, the drawing is wonderful. You ask for CG help? I've seen your
CGs, chica, I think you know what you're doing ^_~ The one thing I've
noticed about your computer coloured pieces though, is the lines tend
to turn out a little pixelated. That's a shame, especially when you have
a starting drawing as gorgeous as Bart here. Just watch out for that in
the future. There are a million ways to save your drawing lines in a CG,
too many to get into here, but you'd probably be fine just working large
and then shrinking the image down when you're done. Smooth, that's what
CG's all about (unless you want somethin' rough for artistic reasons...
eep, I'm babbling) Ja!
