hee... kawaii! ^_^ do draw a line at where you think the character's feet should be, else it'll end up looking lopsided.
also, just a suggestion, but when you scan in your picture, try to scan at a higher resolution and reduce the size in
phtoshop, etc. this is so that the lines will not look so pixellated and jagged.
also, try to add highlights to the hair. i know it's not easy doing that using a marker, but try to estimate where the
highlights should be and leave it white or use another lighter color. ( if you're extremely careful, you might want to mark
out areas using a pencil, but careful not to color over the pencil... )
