Artist's Comments: This drawing is one of my rare full picture
(with legs and all). I want to know about the mistakes I've done
with this and hopefully learn from them. Sorry about the file size,
I had to make it big to show the details.

Wang Says: Hihi. =^.^= Your coloring isn't that bad actually.. the
initial drawing has a few errors that can be pointed out. Actually, I'm
surprised.. the wrinkles in this character's shirt are quite good, but
the line drawing of the image does not have any wrinkles in it, which
makes it look funny. =) If you want help on how to draw clothing, try
looking at something like a JC Penny catalog (I did.. =^.^=) and draw
those people. Try to observe how cloth 'hang's on certain points on a
person and why they do. Then after a while, clothing becomes pretty easy
to figure out. Two questions come to mind... first, is this person a guy
or a girl? =^^;;; Sorry, I can't tell.. very non gender biased outfit
and colors and figure. Long hair. Hard to tell. The only clue I'd have
is the bow in her(?) hair, but I've seen guys with bows in their hair..
I mean, sometimes I wear pink scrunchies. =^.^= Second question.. is she
sitting? If so, what on? It's hard for me to figure out she's sitting
because her legs don't really have any foreshortening... but are semi
bent. Other than those nitpics, it's not bad. =^.^=

Laine Says: wooo cute pic !! i think i can se you like the rather
" kodomo " style for drawing cute kids ? i'd recommend looking at tinami's
kodomo category for more inspiratin on this :D uhm...back to pic . the
clothes folds need a little work methinks , right now it looks like one
piece ! what ye need to do is to add some variety to the outlines on the
clothes ; like some bump here , up and down here and there , cloth folding
inwards here and overlapping there ; stuff like that . observe the way
shirts fold and ye will do great stuff in time ! other than that , uve
got ur anatomy pretty good , all ye need to do is add more details to
the picture such as wood grain on the spear , metal scratches on the poking
thing , a more interesting background ( i always like skies :P ) and maybe
some texture to the wings like veins or light shining through the wings
? :D gambare !

Maggie Says: Very cute picture Tine, and I hear you have a little
trouble with shading and lighting? Well, the first thing when doing that
is to determine the light source, and to give it a real nice three dimentional
look be sure to make the shaded part dark and the lighted parts light!
Sounds simple, but it does take some practice. This
pic is a little overwhelming in the light part, but maybe looking
at it a little will help you with shading on skin and folds in clothing.
Overall, your pic a really cute and has a nice background, but one more
little thing about the wings. If they are sopposed to be like bird/angel
type wings, you may want to accent or outline the feathers a little more.
If it's not sopposed to be bird-like wings, then I'mjust going to shut
up and enjoy your picture!! ^_^ keep up the good work and let me know
if I helped....any! ^_^ Ja!
