Artist's Comments: I would like to improve on anything needing to be improved upon *l* but especially colouring (see the horribly coloured odd looking jewel on her tiara? thats supposed to be her materia and its supposed to look like its glowing but it didnt turn out much like that ^^; but I tried to colour at least *l*) eyes I need to know if its in the right place (I hope it is cause I tried and I tried flipping it and got as close as possible ^^;) and where the shine is supposed to go and what its supposed to look like, on Lain it was just a lil white circle from where the light was comming from and I happen to like doing that rather than hugely weird white blobs on her eyes *l* I can't do that well ^^;

Kon Says: Hii!.. Woooo my first critique.. =D First I would like to say this is a nice drawing. The light pencil sketch gives it a nice delicate look... and quite elegant. =D A few things I noticed that may improve the drawing some more. Most noticable are the eyes. I have the same problem.. they are a bit far apart, but really... it's just a preferance. I don't know much about the coloring except for just the green jewel. The highlight on it is good... the contrash gives the appearance of a nice shine. But some more highlights would help.. such as some backlightings. You can add this by having a thin strip of highlights on the right side of the jewel. I believe the "glow" fails not because of the jewel itself but what's directly around it. It's kinda hard making something appears like it's glowing when it is surrounded by whites. The shading is not bad and since your going for a more elegant look, I wouldn't add too much.

Tiyonne Says: She has such pretty eyes!and such a sweet face! you've definately got the elegant look you wanted. it's all right if you're a little scared to shade; but now you have a copy of it perfectly preserved in your computer. you can always print out a copy and practice shading on that! looks like you've got good beginnings,especially on the ribbon around her neck and good observations on the way light falls on the head and neck. just go a little farther! =) a touch around her eyes, and the same shading in her hair as you put in the two curls by her face! if you don't want to shade this particular picture or ones like it in the future, i suggest just darkening some of the lines in certain places, which will pop out some features that you want noticed. like the corner of those lovely eyes, her mouth, and a few dark lines in her hair and tiara will really bring out the details! =)
