Artist's Comments: My chief goal for improvement is body form... body form and composition, composition and body form... My two goals are composition and body form. Alright, sorry for the Monty Python reference. But those are the primary goals.
Computer graphics and a bit of photography, to be completely honest on the "medium of selected artwork" question. I guess other than that clarification, I don't really have any comments.

Deranged Laine Says: hoiya ^^

awww reminds me of the musical Cats ! i love that memories song ^^ i'll go straight into comments here : the first thing i notice is how empty the sky is...if it's a night sky it'll need more ...stuff like clouds , stars , nebulas , 3 moons or something like that :D the background - the rocky wall - needs some work too..looks a little rushed there ...

about body form : her overall pose seems rather stiff..especially at the legs . the only surefire solution i know to this is to draw lots of body poses like in figure study...that way you'll get to know how the body stands , which parts are relaxed , how the legs are positioned etc..how hands are clasped and such .

hm...right now it looks like her top body is a little too big for her waist and below....and the pose looks rather awkward like she's twisted or something . her body shape is also rather...flat ? it doesnt look natural =/

composition : i think you got the right idea =D the emptiness at the top left shows her hoping and longing or reminiscing something ^_^

hope this helps ^^ gambare ne !

Juno Says: Hoiii, Akumu~ :D Ooh, some nifty anthro art you got there XD First off, I'd like to compliment you on the relationships between foreground and background... the dark background contrasts very well with your character's red dress. Beautiful shadow work, excellent execution of mood (I like how the sky has nothing in it... definite atmosphere) :D I also love how the bottom portion of her body came out; it looks natural and smooth ^_^

Perhaps, though, it would look more "realistic" if her head was a bit wider; keep in mind that skulls are round, including those of dogs ^^ Also, choose a light source carefully, and keep it constant. Also, on the average human body, the middle finger goes down to mid-thigh; your character's arms are a bit short, but that's no biggie ^^ The hands are great, well done. Anyway, hope this helped. The best of luck! Ciao~~! :D
