Artist's Comments: Virtually everything, too much wrong with it and I can't figure out how to fix it (mainly colouring, shading, etc., as well as faces, which I CANNOT do well). Please be brutally and blisteringly honest. I haven't been able to improve very much and I seem to have the most trouble in making colouring look plausible and I obviously need a lot of work on the faces.

Lorelai Says: Woh, cool picture!! It looks like it was done in illustrator
or some sort of vector art program, the CGing is nice and crisp and the lines are
too. I wanted to point out something...your CG cel style shadows/lights aren't
exactly correct, like you pointed out, but they're so bold, confident and well
placed that the picture does not LOSE any appeal. Great job and kudos on that! Ok
let's get nitpicky...the three main things that hit me were: (1) her face shape/
profile is off and her arms are a bit short compared to her body... (2) the
shadings are pretty good but a bit idealized and too rounded (3) her ponytail could
use more than three large strands. That's about it. I love the shading on her shoes
and socks though, and her tummy, as well as her shadow. GREAT layout of the
picture, too. Also, the women of the world thank you for not giving her
oversided....... eyes. speaking of eyes, check out some anatyomy books for face
structure and profiles, or take your sketchbook and sit in the park. Just make sure
it's a small sketchbook, people get jittery when they can tell you're drawing
them... =) GOOD LUCK!!! GREAT WORK!

Tiyonne Says: @_@ I need a suit of clothes like that!
Like Lore said, there's not going to be anything in the crit but extra-nitpicky
stuff! It looks great to my eye, the only thing i can ofeer is advice for little
details, tiny ones that would take this picture to the next level. Her clothes make
her look like she's got a cool, bad a** sort of attitude, reinforced by her pose.
and yet, it doesn't *quite* work. I think to if you want to strengthen this mood
(which is what you're going for?) there are a few simple techniques. First, i might
make the the shadows and highlights contrast a little more on her skin; you've done
a better job on the clothing, but just tad darker shading will define her a little
more. She looks a little soft still, for such an athletic pose - more definition in
the arm muscles, perhaps? the picture could benefit from a certain tension, she
looks like she's about to throw a punch from her clenched fist, but her muscles
would be more tense. Plus her face doesn't look strong enough - i think it's the
eyes. if you just darken the eyebrow from her forehead out to give that dangerous
look, i think it will make a big difference in the the power of the picture. Once
again, this is all just mega-nitpick stuff. this pic looks really really good and
makes me drool with envy...drooool.....
